The Junior Gum Shields are the mouth guards for kids and they are cheap mouth guards but do serve to provide some protection. We always recommend buying the best quality you can afford but would also add that this type of guard is VERY popular.

This product is ideal as an ideal mouth guard for kids, up to around 12 years old. After this we would recommend the Medium weight, Club Mouth Guard.

Self Fit Mouth Guards - The junior guards are a self fit product, you use hot water to soften and then bite and suck to mould the shape. Please refer to the individual fitting instructions found on most pages.
Coloured Mouth Guards - Our Junior Gum shields come in a variety of colour ways and whilst they offer some protection are also a great finishing touch to your team kit.
As self fit mouth guards these work well.
The soft material ensures that the fitting process is simple and the plastic malleable. The recommendations for this product are:
1. Place the Junior Gum Shield in your mouth, over the upper teeth.
2. If the guard is too long then trim the ends back until the guard is comfortable in the mouth.
3. Place the guard in hot (not boiling) water for 8 or 9 seconds. PLEASE NOTE: Do not keep the guard in the water for any longer as the shape may distort.
4. Immediately insert your mouth.
5 Close teeth gentle to ensure even bite on your new Junior Gum Shield.At the same time press your Gum Shield into the roof of the mouth by pressing your tongue on to it.
6. Keep the Gum Shield in the position for about 1 minute. After which you should remove the Gum Shield and immerse it in cold water.
7. If the guard is not comfortable then please repeat the process of softening and moulding.
8. After use wash in cold water, dry and store.
